Yesterday I got to go to one of my favorite places in Western Mass - Gould's Maple Sugar Shack. They're only open at certain times of the year when they tap the trees - so I don't get to go that often, and not living as close anymore doesn't help either. I think this weekend is the last they're open until next fall - so if you're in the area it's definitely worth going. I recommend the waffle, the blueberry pancakes, the corn-fritters, and wrapping the whole meal up with the twenty-five cent maple ice cream cone in the gift shop.
