I'll go for months without listening to This American Life and then one day I end up running into something and I think "Yes! This is so good! Why I did I ever stop listening to Ira Glass speaking at me?" I found this little clip via Miss Moss last night, and I've been thinking about it all this morning. The thing I miss most about school is the dialogue that happens between different creative people - I think the process is so key that I find myself a bit lost when I don't have someone else going "Yes! That's the right direction!" or "No, I don't think that works too well." Even the most obvious things are hard to see when you are caught up in your own work. I also love the part where he talks about having killer ideas, but not quite being at the point where you can execute them - I have felt like that so many times I can't even count! There is so much to take out of this little quote, it seemed good to keep passing it on.
