Where some are likely to take cat pictures, I've always been likely to take bird pictures. In fact, I'm often accused of becoming a "crazy bird lady". I'm okay with that because it's true.

I used to have a budgie named Calypso - being at this indoor aviary made me miss him so much. Of course my little guy was never as friendly as these ones! At one point I had about six of them on one hand trying to eat the seed stick. It was probably the best two dollars I've ever spent, hands down.

Ack! So cute! On last weeks thrift adventure my little sister dragged me into a petshop were a large parrot chomped my hand. I decided I'm more of a small brid person, haha!

What an amazing idea to be able to feed these beautiful birds. It's indeed two dollars well spent!

Aww I love budgies! I used to have a budgie too - his name was Squeaky (I was 10, alright!).

Man these photos are crisp looking. Are they taken with your new camera?

Your bird posts get me every time.

On many occasion I have been called some sort of crazy bird woman too! I take it as a compliment.

Just this week I adopted three budgies to accompany my last remaining, Rod. They all live in a spacious aviary, and they're so happy and playful together already. Such gregarious, social birds and they have so much character like the cockatiels. Did Cocoa know you were hanging out with budgies? The aviary in these pics looks so good. I would be there every week!
