1. Oh hello new couch. I seriously don't want to get off this couch. Also, a nice ceramic lamp from Target and button pillows from Kim. 2. Just picked up a loaf of bread from my favorite bakery around the corner. Yum! 3. Bracelets and necklaces from Stephanie, been wearing them since they arrived. 4. Fabric, piles (and rolls) of fabric. 5. In a little bit I'll be moving my studio into a different room that's a bigger and has more sunlight. 6. Backpacks getting made and ready to be shipped off.

I love the soft, neutral tones in your home. They are so soothing.

You know, I never tire of looking at your bags - in progress, fully made, I'll take them any way.

I just noticed that you have a Bill & Ted quote on your blog. Haha. You really have been watching that movie too much. Now that I see that quote standing alone, it's not really as ridiculous as I thought. Quite a nice motto to live by, really.

i love your house, it's just so peaceful. i'm glad to hear that the couch exceeds expectations! i would love to find a couch that is cat-proof, or at least find a way to create a non-hideous slipcover for my danish sofa. not an easy task!

I love the couch! It looks awesome with your pillows, and it sounds comfy. Should I get one too? I'm jealous that you have that calendar I missed out on. Your living room looks light and airy, yet cozy too. That's exactly what I want.

Wonderful jewelry, fabric, and backpack! Thanks for letting us peek. : )

Your new couch is practically identical to ours, and ours, too, is very comfy. Great for old-movie watching.

hey guys! wow, i really suck at responding lately, i'm in slow mode. this week has been crazy, but i really appreciate all your comments!

joyce - thanks! yes, we do love it. it's been hard to drag myself from the living room lately though, haha.

elizabeth - initially i started with just one big shelf for the leather and fabric, now i'm going to need to buy another because the fabric is a little out of control! i hope to make some new dresses with that b&w striped fabric there....just did some drawings the other day :)

belinda - thank you! that's so funny that you say that about my house because for the longest time we have had such an assortment of mismatched furniture. this is the first time i can recall things matching! and as always, thank you for the kind encouragement about everything!

jocy - thanks so much!

jennifer - i knew you'd love that, haha - i just got it framed a few weeks ago, it's about damn time too!

erica - i'm really always so surprised how quiet it is here, even though it's on the first floor of a main street! haha, what i didn't photograph though is the heaps of unfolded laundry, piles of dirty dishes, all the things i've neglected in the past week. slip covers are so tricky, i hope the covers on the couch last a while because it would be a pain to take them off, we'd have to disassemble everything!!

jenny - would it be crazy to say i picked out this couch because of the pillows?! i had them before and wanted to find something that matched them. my friend kim made the ones with the buttons on them, and i made the other ones. i would definitely recommend the couch, the only thing i've had a slight problem with so far is if i'm wearing a thinner shirt, some of the thicker fibers will poke through and be a little itchy. i'm assuming this will go away in time :)

shara - isn't a sunny room the best? i find it always lightens my mood and makes the work days do by quicker!

ilana - thanks! the two gold bracelets are both dores, and so is the coral "bracelet" which is actually a necklace wrapped around a few times!

coco draws - awe, thanks that's so sweet of you to say, i appreciate it!

catherine - it's definitely become a ritual to watch some movies every night now - lately though it's been the daily show and colbert report :)
