Ori Gersht

About a year ago we signed up to be members at the MFA - sadly we haven't gone that much or taken advantage of it - but we did get a chance to go yesterday.

We were surprised to find that we liked the Mario Testino exhibit more that we thought we would - it was interesting seeing such large portraits in person, and it definitely got me thinking about how we view celebrities and pop-icons.  But, even more interesting to me was seeing some of Ori Gersht's prints and videos.  I like the reference to Dutch still lives and the colors are fantastic.  I also liked reading the stories he had behind his work, often referencing history in one way or another.   You can read more about him here.
