My friend Drew recently gave me a kit to make this
Shaker bench. He had planned on making it for his house, but ended up not so he gave the kit to me. I just assembled the wooden base last weekend and stained it. I still need to put polyurethane on it, and then weave the webbing. I'm a bit nervous about the webbing, I've never done something like that before so it should be interesting! The webbing for this bench is natural, and it comes in a lot of different colors too. They have a lot of other really cool kits too - some look a bit above my skill level, but who knows, maybe I'll master the bench and be ready to tackle trickier projects. I'll report back when it's been completed!
