This afternoon we went to the New England Mobile Bookfair (one of our favorite weekend spots).  What we love about the place is you come across lots of things you'd never see in most bookstores - like old art catalogues, out of print things, "deadstock" from a long time ago, etc.  I've found so many good things there over the years!  Today I came across a catalogue including the work of James Casebere.  His work is based on different kinds of public institutions (schools, prisons, asylums, abandoned landmarks, etc.)  He makes miniature models in foam core and plaster and then photographs them.  The effect is remarkable and uncanny.  Be sure to visit his website to see different works.
