f/w 2010 : to babylon

Thanks so much to some of my closest friends - Kirsta for modeling and laughing with and at me, Drew for letting me take pictures in his home which has better natural light than my own (and also for laughing with and at me - see, this is a quality I value highly in others), Jesse for helping me late at night with everything from html editing to sewing on buttons, and everyone else along the way.

Additional pictures can be seen here. More info on availability and pricing coming very soon. All bags will be available for purchase, however most of the clothing I made specifically for the shoot. I am hoping to find a place to get the mask fabric printed so I can make some tops and dresses for the shop - the ones here are made from screen printed yardage that I printed myself.

Oh my gosh, I just love these!

And I don't know much about the pricing, but I just saw you can get custom fabric printed at Spoonflower http://www.spoonflower.com/welcome
maybe something like that would be helpful?

Okay...deep breaths...phew. I think this has got to be my favorite collection of yours to date. I love all the new things you tried. Everything is so unique, but still totally you! It is better than I ever imagined(and I had some pretty high expectations). Well done!

Julia, whoaaaa! How could you have kept this a secret for so long? This is so exciting! Congrats on your f/w introduction. These bags are not just bags - they are truly pieces of art. I can only imagine how much time and the amount of craftsmanship that went into completing this project. When I opened your blog and saw the first photo at the top I was thinking that one of those two would be my favorite. But then I started scrolling down and down... I was completely smitten. My most favorite were the tote with triangles and the little purse with zelda-looking shape (I got obsessed with triangles after you gave me "zelda") and the black and white bag.
I must sound like I just had a red bull. I'll stop!

Xoxo, Jenya
