a little yarn overboard...

Needless to say I might have walked out of Webs today with enough yarn to last many projects, if not many months! (I only kept a few of the things in my shopping basket seen above, but filled it with many other things instead - you know how the process of elimination is.) One of the main things I picked up (not pictured) is some recycled cotton yarn. I've only tried knitting with cotton once before and didn't really like it, but I'm determined to give it another go and make some kind of red and beige striped summer sweater. Kind of still an idea in my head - but I'm excited to give it a go.

I never can't resist yarns, if I go into a yarn shop I leave with more than I can hold in my arms. I don't know why I feel compelled to get much more then I could ever need. So enticing. Those look like some lovely picks! Can't wait to see what you make with them.

looks like a good supplier you have there.

i agree, cotton can be tricky. i'm not a huge fan of knitted cotton, however, i am very open to changing my mind if i see something amazing!

Is that some kind of yarn heaven??

My sister knits with cotton a lot. And bamboo. She loves it.

I can't wait to see what you make.

Oooh Elizabeth - you have seen Annie Larson's knits, right. I reckon they meet the criteria for amazing.

omg, this place looks like a yarn warehouse! i love buying yarn, but i'm not allowing myself to buy any more yarn until i work through my stash a bit more.

Wow! That store looks amazing, I think it would be hard not to buy everything. Arts and craft stores are always my downfall. I was thinking of getting some cotton yarn for some summer projects. I saw a cotton cowl on the Purl Bee I was thinking of attempting...

Julia, I do the virtual version of this every time I go to the Webs website---loading my shopping cart and then slowly eliminating. Nonetheless, I've still got tons of yarn right now. Did you get the Tahki recycled yarn or something different? I just got some Noro from them recently!

Which Noro is that in your basket? I'm dying over the color combo.
