pretzels

We just made these pretzels this afternoon/evening! It marks about a year and a month of our living here. We moved in at the beginning of April last year and one of the first things we did was make pretzels - and now exactly a year later we're doing the same thing to celebrate! Tasty!

those look amazing! ian has been talking about making pretzels lately...which recipe do you use? he saw one in a magazine that called for lye...i'd rather not go that route.

They were soooo delicious! And now there's a whole pile of them and I can't stop eating them...whoops! That's the problems with baking - it ends up being the only thing you eat over the next few days!

Valerie - This is the recipe we used:

We were scared of all the lye ones too! Haha - but I guess all the poison is supposed to burn off when you boil it? Still kind of weird! The baking soda in this one worked well though!

They look so yummy! I want one right now. Nelson is out and coming back home soon so I will call him right now to bring home a couple of philly pretzels.

These look delicious!!!! Pretzels are definitely a foodstuff that does not get made at home enough.
