I found this a little while ago and it cracks me up! The internet is a really funny place. It seems like trolling on pinterest is the new up and coming thing. I don't think I get it, but whatever floats your boat. This is not me complaining, this is me laughing because I think it's seriously hilarious. Jesse and I say to each other all the time we are so glad we did not grow up in a time when FB, etc. were key elements in social life. Lord knows it would have killed my middle school self-esteem.

It took me a minute to understand what I was seeing here. I wondered if your blog had a new comment system, and I couldn't believe these comments were from your readers. Ha! The last comment is the best, as it puts all the silliness into perspective.

I hear you about all the social network sites. It was actually a huge leap for me to even join IG! Life seemed so much simpler when everyone still had a face, and yet I don't know where I would be without the internet and the ability to interact on an international scale with such ease.

Hahaha. It is hilarious the things that people say on Pinterest.

I do feel for teenagers having to grow up with social media. People can be brutal.

I know I should be less sensitive about it, but I can't go on Pinterest anymore because of the comments! It's so distracting and I get so worked up and want to tell people to go ef themselves, HA.

I've been noticing that lately too! People posted photos of my Tova shirt sewing pattern and said the fabric I chose was ugly. Wtf? Total weirdos. I don't get the point of stuff like that. I agree that my junior high self wouldn't do too well in this new age of FB and Pinterest. I worry about kids today, so many new ways to bully. Ugh.

I must admit I removed a blog from my blog list becaused they extolled the virtues of fur in a big way. I doubt they were devastated by my deletion, but nevertheless it made me feel a whole lot better to get them out of my sight!

Abby - Hah! That would be funny if it was my blog. Sometimes people can be weird and say odd things all the sudden and I'm just like "what? did I hear you right? I don't even know you!" I have a girlfriend who rides horses quite frequently, and she says she would feel really weird using a horse hide leather product - but to me it's quite similar to cowhide, and I don't know why one would put me off more than the other. I guess our society has kind of elevated horses above cows and lambs? I feel the same way about the internet, it's a love hate relationship. :)

Belinda - I know it's kind of crazy. Right now I think pinterest and twitter are getting to be too much of an overload for me - I guess I'll just stick with blogging :)

Kate - Oh gosh, I saw what happened with your board & those sandals - so crazy! I kind of keep wondering what kind of people these are, and what kind of things they did before they had the internet to take it out on!

Jenny - Why would they say the fabric you used for the shirt was ugly?! Ack! Why do they care enough to say anything at all? It seems just like junior high. I'm sorry that that happened.

Erica - Yup, I'm feeling the same way!

Lucy - Gosh, I feel silly for saying this, but I'm not sure I follow what you're saying regarding the wallet I made in relation to fur. Maybe my post wasn't clear - the wallet in the excerpted pinterest pin is a wallet I made, and the comments are criticizing it for reasons I don't quite understand.

Yeesh, this is hilarious, people really are nuts!

And although all this new social media really does make me feel old at times, I am SO thankful that I didn't have to contend with this stuff growing up....

Its amazing what people feel comfortable saying behind the comfort of a glass screen. And who gets offended at horse hide?? God forbid you told them most suede was made from pigs.
